Willie Henry Emerson

Willie Henry Emerson, age 87 of Smiths Grove, passed away on Tuesday, January 9, 2024 at his residence. He was born in Barren County to the late Omer and Louise Fisher Emerson on November 20, 1936. Willie was married to the late Mary Ann Emerson.

Willie was a carpenter, farmer, bus driver for Barren County Schools and worked at Houchens Grocery. He was a member of New Beginnings Church.

He leaves to honor his memory— his sons, Henry Douglas Emerson (Jean Ann) and Willard Joe Emerson (Tina) of Smiths Grove; grandchildren, Chris Emerson (Autumn), Dustin Emerson, Ashley Emerson and Amanda Thomas (Curtis); ten great-grandchildren; sister, Joyce Ann Cooke; sister-in-law, Joanna Nuckols (Steve) and brother-in-law, Jimmy Morgan.

Interment will be in Merry Oaks Cemetery.
