William T. "Jack" Gibson Jr., age 86 of Brownsville, passed away Friday, June 29, 2007 at The Medical Center at Bowling Green. He was born January 19, 1921 in Russellville, Alabama to the late William T. "Bill" Gibson and Shelley Franks Gibson. He was retired from the U.S. Army where he served in World War II and Korean War and worked for the Civil Service. He was a member of Brownsville Missionary Baptist Church and a former member of South Jefferson Baptist Church in Louisville. He is survived by his wife Nell Cooke Gibson of Brownsville; one son, Jerry W. Gibson and wife Jan of Crestwood; one daughter, Barbara J. Raeber and husband Bob of Louisville; three brothers, Wayne Gibson of Portland, Billy S. Gibson and Joe B. Gibson of Brownsville; two sisters, Catherine McMurdo of Cedar Springs and Norma Jean Schoenbachler of Nashville; five grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Services will be officiated by Bro.Jimmy Yorkwith graveside services by Nesbit Alexander Memorial Post #6937 VFW at Brownsville cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to the American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 2680 North Canton, OH 44720.
