William B. "Bennie" Cassady, age 89 of Park City, passed away Saturday, November 1, 2008 in Bowling Green. He was born November 4, 1918 in Edmonson County to the late James Willie and Mary Campbell Cassady and married to the late Maevonia Doyle Cassady. He was a World War II Army veteran, farmer, retired maintenance supervisor for Kentucky Highway Department and a member of Beaver Dam United Baptist Church. He is survived by his son, Billy Cassady (Hope) of Park City; three daughters, Joyce Chism (Wilbur) of Cave City, Marilyn Cassady of Bowling Green and Paula Cassady of Louisville; five grandchildren, W.T. Chism (Teresa), Benjamin Chism (Angela), Meribeth Harmon (John), Joseph Davis and Hilary Davis; two step grandchildren, Stacey Branham (Nathan) and Sherry Goldsmith; one brother, James Thomas Cassady of Rhoda; two sisters, Ella Mae Madison of Brownsville and Eva Huffman of Bowling Green; four great grandchildren and two step grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Sturdivant and Maggie Cowles. Services will be officiated by Bro. Ewell Cooper with graveside military rites at Evergreen Cemetery.
