Wayne Houchin

Wayne "Slap Happy" Houchin, 68 years of age, passed from this life at his home in Pine Grove, Ky on Thursday, March 17, 2011. Wayne was born June 12, 1942 to Harry Hamilton "Ham" Houchin and Una Tarter Houchin in Cedar Springs, KY. Wayne was united in marriage to Lois Elaine Wilson on June 2, 1962 at Cedar Springs United Baptist Church. Wayne and Lois have two children, Penny Sharlene Watson and Sandra Gayle Houchin. He was a graduate of Edmosnon County High School in 1962 and retired after 28 years of service from Marathon Oil Company in 2001. Wayne was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Lois Elaine Wilson Houchin of Pine Grove, KY; two daughers, Penny Sharlene Watson (Rusty) of Shepherdsville, KY and Sandra Gayle Houchin of Pine Grove, KY; two brothers, Randall "Ronn" Houchin (Carol) of Cedar Springs,KY and Roger Houchin (Connie) of California; one sister, Yvonne Houchin Campbell of Cedar Springs, KY; two grandchildren, Casey Sean Watson (Kendra) and Whitney-Lea Nicole Watson and one great grandson, Kenton Wayne Watson. Masonic services by the McClure Masonic Lodge # 539 F&AM will be at7:00pm onSaturday March 19, 2011 at the Patton Funeral Home Brownsville Chapel. Burial will be in the Lambert Cemetery with PastorRusty Watson officiating.
