Waylan Shipley

Waylan Dean Shipley,  84, of  Park City,  passed away  Thursday, December 4, 2014 at his residence. He was born  August 27, 1930 in Barren Co. to the late  Elijah T. Shipley and the late Virgie Allison Berry Shipley and was married to the late Willo Dean Downey Shipley.  He was a carpenter for J. Les Brown Construction , a  Korean War Navy veteran, a  50 yr. member of Cave City Masonic Lodge # 790,  member of Caverna Eastern Star # 252 and Little Bethel Baptist Church where he was a deacon.

He is survived by one daughter, Marlinda Froedge (Ricky) of Cave City; one sister, Colleen Franklin of Elizabethtown and four nieces.

Bro. Larry Lowe and Bro. Brent Spillman will officiate. Burial will be in the Walnut Hill Cemetery with military honors by Barren County D.A.V.   Memorial contributions may be made to a favorite charity of  one's  choice.
