Vickie Sue Webb Davis

Vickie Sue Webb Davis, age 79, peacefully departed this life on Friday, June 21, 2024 at the Hospice House of Southern Kentucky in Bowling Green. The Edmonson County native was born on May 19, 1945 to the late Alton and Inez Vincent Webb. She was married to Joy Gene Davis, until they were parted by his death on January 12, 2024.

Vickie worked for many years as a teller at Brownsville Deposit Bank. In recent years, she was a homemaker and lovingly cared for her family, until her health began to fail. She was saved at Poplar Springs United Baptist Church, and later became a member of Sweeden Missionary Baptist Church. She was also a 1963 graduate of Edmonson County High School.

 She leaves to honor her memory— her daughter, Melissa Basham (Brent) of Roundhill; three grandsons, Joey Basham of Windyville, Jonathan Basham and Jordan Basham, both of Roundhill; a sister, Barbara Miller (Ross) of Louisville, along with several nieces and nephews. Besides her husband and parents, she was also preceded in death by her siblings, Glenda Gaye Gibson and James O’Neil Webb. 

 Interment will be in Dit Vincent Cemetery.
