Vertis Davis

Vertis "Bunny" Davis, age 70 of Brownsville, passed away Thursday, July 10, 2008 at his residence. He was a retired mechanic for Jefferds Corp in Bowling Green, a Baptist, a member of the V.F.W. and a Vietnam Air Force veteran. He is survived by his wife, Mary Louise Davis of Brownsville; one son, Marcus Davis (Rosaria) of Brownsville; four daughters, Lynn Vinson of Leitchfield, Sherry Davis of Rocky Hill, Drinda Davis of Cave City and Jill Flannery of Rocky Hill; four brothers, Larry Davis of Brownsville, Jim Davis of Brownsville, Jack Davis of Louisville and Joe Davis of Brownsville; three sisters, Carolyn Crabtree of Bowling Green, Dean Carter of Brownsville and Betty Jean Swinger of Smiths Grove; 15grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. He was alsopreceded in death by two brothers, Roy and Steve Davis; two sisters, Rachel and Loretta Davis. Services will be officiated by Bro. Brad Davis with military graveside at Hawkins Cemetery.
