Verlin Ray

Verlin Gale Ray, age 86, passed away Friday, July 18, 2014 of natural causes in Asuncion, Paraguay.

The Sweeden, KY native was born  April 18, 1928, the son of Jesse Henderson Ray and Elzora Conway Ray.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Edith Ray, his brother James H. Ray, his sister Blenda J. Ray​, ​and his brother John Howard Ray who died in infancy.​

He is survived by daughter, Belinda Baser (husband Steve) and sons, Verlin G.  Ray, Jr. (wife Bettina) and James D. Ray (wife Maria Luisa), as well as eleven grandchildren and one great grandchild who will always remember his strength and generosity.

Burial will be in the Sweeden Church Cemetery.
