Vera Davis Tomes, 84, of Brownsville, KY, died Sunday, September 12, 2010 in Beaver Dam, KY. She was born October 16, 1925in Edmonson Co., KY, to the late Dred Bolin Davis and the late Virgie Odle Davis.She was the wife of Edmon Tomes who survives.She was a retired seamstress for Kellwood Manufacturing Co. in Morgnatown, KY and was of the Christian faith.She isalso survived by two sons, Frank Tomes (Alvetta) of Brownsville, KY and Arlon Tomes (Tat) of Lindale, TX; two daughters, Renetta Wilson (Marvin) of Celina, TX and Marcia Luckabaugh of Bowling Green, KY; two sisters, Juanita Likins and Goldie Woosley both of Louisville, KY; 11 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; 4 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one sister, Bonnie Likins; one grandchild, Arlon Tomes, Jr. andtwo son-in-laws, Larry Stinson Key and Robert Luckabaugh.Burial will be in the Sunny Point Church Cemetery.
