Velma Moody

Velma Skaggs Moody, age 83 of Brownsville, passed away, Wednesday, March 18, 2009 in Bowling Green. She was born July 20, 1925 in Edmonson Co. to the late Luther Skaggs and the late Nettie Cook Skaggs. She was a retired clerk for Pier 19 in Cave City and a hotel manager. She was a Member of Eastern Star and a Methodist. She is survived by one grandson, Bryan Moody (Gretchen) of Louisville, KY; granddaughter, Loree Moody of Lexington, KY; daughter-in-law, Janice Ann Moody of Brownsville, KY; two great grandchildren, Gillian Moody, Jacob Moody; brother, Leroy Skaggs (Arlene) of Louisville, KY; two nieces, Mary Mathews of Bowling Green, KY, Joy Raymond of Cave City, KY. She was preceded in death by one son, Harvey Lee Moody. Services will be officiated by Bro. Jerry Patton with burial in the Fairview Cemetery.
