Tony G. Childress, age 80 of Louisville, departed this life on Monday, May 2, 2022 at Norton Audubon Hospital.  The Edmonson County native was born on April 20, 1940 to the late Dewey and Ola Glass Childress.

Tony retired from Inland Container as a machinist, and was a member of Cherry Springs United Baptist Church.

He leaves to honor his memory— a daughter, Kim Seifers of Jeffersonville, IN; son, Bobby Childress (Anita) of Caneyville and four siblings, Merle Childress (Helen) of Louisville, Pearl Haynes of Brownsville, Joby Childress of Louisville and Magaline Meredith (Junior) of Cave City.

Interment will be in Cherry Springs Church Cemetery.  Memorial contributions can be made to:  Cherry Springs Church Cemetery, c/o Cecil Meredith, 3263 Cherry Springs Road,  Cub Run, KY  42729.
