Sopha Madison Cook, age 85 of Brownsville, passed away Wednesday, July 2, 2008 in Bowling Green. She was born April 15, 1923 in Edmonson County to the late Lonnie M. and Nora P. Hardison Madison. She was a retired supervisor at Brownsville Manufacturing, a volunteer for Hospice,Edmonson County Citizen of the Year, a member of Edmonson County Homemakers and Rocky Hill Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband, Lloyd Cook of Brownsville; one son, Larry Lancaster (Diana) of Bowling Green; one brother, Mitchell Madison (Flora) of Park City; three sisters, Miriam Beams (Emmett) of Louisville, Pauline Rutledge (Robert) of Park City and Christine Toms (Lendon) of Winslow, IN; five grandchildren, Cindi Hanes, Debbie Spear, Robert Lancaster, Charles Lloyd Lancaster and Amy Lancaster Carter; ten great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by one son, Don Lancaster. Services will be officiated by Bro. Donald Kidd and Bro. Belvy Barbee with burial in the Rocky Hill Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to Hospice of Southern KY. 1027 Broadway Bowling Green, KY 42101.
