Life’s span was exhausted and God’s will was done for Sarah Frances Pait, on November 3, 2024, at the home of her son and daughter-in-law in Leitchfield. The Indianapolis, IN native was born on March 3, 1939, to the late Berlin Craig and Edward Mae Berry Brown. She was married to Carl Pait, who survives.
Sarah dedicated her life to serving others through her career and unwavering commitment to her family. With a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Louisville, Sarah made her mark as a medical technologist, dedicating over 52 years to the University of Louisville Hospital. Her work touched countless lives, and her expertise and compassion were deeply appreciated by colleagues and patients.
Sarah was profoundly devoted to her family, particularly cherishing the time spent with her children and grandchildren. Her love for all children was evident and boundless; a true reflection of her nurturing spirit. She inspired those around her to appreciate the simple joys of life and foster strong family bonds. Beyond her professional and familial commitments, Sarah enjoyed working outside and was an active supporter of numerous charitable causes. She held a special passion for donating to Wayside Christian Mission, demonstrating her desire to make a meaningful impact in the lives of others.
Besides her husband, Carl, she leaves to honor her memory— her children, Mary Shannon League (Harold) of Louisville, Ed Stivers (Karla) of Leitchfield and Todd Pait (Angela) of Louisville; grandchildren, Kara Stivers (Jamie), Michael Stivers (Sabrina) Kayla Stivers, Kaylee De Castro (M.C.) and Makayla Maki (Wes); great-grandchild, Kenna Stivers and sister, Mary Burnette. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, John Brown.
Interment will be in Beth Haven Cemetery in Louisville, KY.
