Rumsey Houchin

Rumsey Houchin, age 90 of Brownsville,passed awayThursday, September 11,2008 in Bowling Green. He was born May 6, 1918 in Edmonson County to the late William Nelson and Lou Clark Houchin. He was a retired owner and distributor for Sunoco and a Baptist. He is survived by his wife, Frances Houchin of Brownsville; one son, Donald Houchin (Lisa) of Bowling Green; two daughters, Donna Rich (Barry) of Bee Spring and Dorothy Allison (Keith) of Knoxville, TN; three grandchildren, Joey Rich (Kelly), Dana Lindsey (Jonathan) and Erica Simpson (Barrett); five great grandchildren, Madison Rich, Jacob and Anna Kate Simpson, Hannah and Kaylee Lindsey; five step great grandchildren, Ali, Spencer and Collin Smith and Julia andHunter Allison; one brother, Charlie Houchin; four sisters, Chlorene Houchins, Jewel Patrick, Dean Madison and Yvonne VanMeter. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Mack and Truman Houchin; one sister, Mary Houchin. Services will be officiated by Bro. Jonathan Lindsey with burial in the Brownsville Cemetery.
