He served our country in the Korean War and was a U.S. Army Veteran. He returned to the states and graduated from Bowling Green Business University with a degree in Accounting and received a masters degree and Rank I from Western Kentucky University. Mr. James worked with the Edmonson County School System for 33 years and retired as an administrator. He also worked as an accountant and bookkeeper for many local businesses. Additionally, he was a member of the Edmonson County Chapter of Retired Teachers Association and a member of Beaver Dam United Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy B. James; one son, Barry W. James (Amy); one daughter, Kathy J. Meredith (Granville) and two granddaughters, Kayla Jane and Laney Beth Meredith all of Brownsville.
Bro. Ronald Renfro and Bro. Jerry Patton will officiate. Burial in the Brownsville Cemetery.
Memorial contributions can be made to American Cancer Society or Alzheimer's Association.
