Ronald “Ronnie” Rountree, age 67, of  Chalybeate, KY, departed this life on Thursday, March 3, 2016 in Glasgow, KY. The Edmonson County native was born on March 7, 1948 to the late Truman Arthur Rountree and Margery Evelyn Denham Rountree. He was the husband of the late Virginia Jean Rountree, who also preceded him in death.

He was the owner of Brownsville Auto Parts and a member of Beaver Dam Chapel United Baptist Church.

He is survived by one son, Rollin Rountree (fiancée Michelle) of Brownsville; one sister, Marjean Durbin (Joe) of Chalybeate, special friend, Jewell Newkirk of Brownsville and several nieces and nephews.

Interment will be in Hawkins Cemetery, where he was a devoted trustee for over 25 years.
