Rev. J.D. Logsdon, Sr

Rev. J.D. Logsdon, Sr., age 81 of Wingfield, passed away Saturday, June 2, 2007 at the Medical Center at Bowling Green. The Edmonson County native was born April 1, 1926 to the late Dennis J. Logsdon and Forda Ellen Shaw Logsdon. He was a retired grader for True Temper Co. in Bowling Green and a member of Hopewell Missionary Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife Flossie M. Lee Logsdon of Wingfield; one son, J.D. Logsdon, Jr. and wife Hilda of Wingfield; five daughters, Kathy Massey and husband Ray of Wingfield, Treasa Minton and husband Owen of Wingfield, Sharon Elaine Meredith and husband Mike of Bee Spring, Lisa Massey and husband Dale of Wingfield and Laurie Mills and husband Mike of Wingfield; one sister, Alberta Watt of Bowling Green; eleven grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by one daughter, Clara Ellen Logson and three grandchildren. Services will be officiciated by Bro. Billie Vincent and Bro. Stephen Bullock with burial in the Hawks cemetery.
