Rayburn Slaughter, age 79, of Bowling Green, KY departed this life on Tuesday, February 20, 2018 in Bowling Green. The Edmonson County native was born on December 15, 1938 to the late William Russell Slaughter and Lucy Booker Elmore. He was married to Janice Coghill Slaughter, who survives.
Rayburn was owner of Slaughter Upholstery and a member of Poplar Spring United Baptist Church.
Besides his wife, he leaves to honor his memory, two sons, Wes Slaughter (Gloria) and Russ Slaughter both of Big Reedy; one daughter, Renee Slaughter of Big Reedy; three grandchildren, Whitney Lewis (James), William Riley Slaughter and Sophia Renee Slaughter and one great grandson, James River Lewis.
Interment will be in Poplar Spring Church Cemetery.
