Ray Ashley

Ray Ashley, 84, of Sweeden, KY, passed away Friday, February 14, 2014 at his residence. The Edmonson county native was born July 27, 1929 to the late Harvey and Estelle Duvall Ashley and was the husband of the late Mary Frances Ashley.  He was a Korean War Army veteran, a truck driver for McLean Trucking and a member of Pleasant Union United Baptist Church.

He is survived by one son, Tim Ashley (Amy) of Oakwood, GA; three grandchildren, Daniel Ashley of Sweeden, KY and Jessie Ashley and Luke Ashley both of Oakwood, GA.  He was preceded in death by five brothers and four sisters.

Servcies will be officiated by Bro. Jerry Patton with burial in the Sweeden Church Cemetery.
