Pearl Smith Elmore
1924 - 2021
Pearl Smith Elmore, age 96 of Mammoth Cave, KY departed this life on Wednesday, July 21, 2021 at Genesis Healthcare Edmonson Center in Brownsville. The Edmonson County native was born on November 11, 1924 to the late Ernest and Mary Edna Rich Smith. She was married to the late Stanford Chester Elmore, who preceded her in death.
Pearl was a housewife and a member of Union Light Missionary Baptist Church and the Green River Order of Eastern Star.
She leaves to honor her memory—one son, Harold W. Elmore (Judy) of Bradenton, FL; two grandchildren, Erin Pittman (Cary) and Ethan Elmore (Megan); one great- grandchild; two sisters, Anna Lou Rigdon (Arvil) of Louisville and Estelene Webb (Lonard) of Mammoth Cave; one brother, Harlon Smith (Betty) of Mammoth Cave, along with several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Arthur, Nelson and Billy Frank Smith and one sister, Willowdean Childress.
