Pauline Johnson

Pauline C. Johnson, 77, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Thursday, July 7, 2011 in Leitchfield, KY.  She was born March 29, 1934 in Breckinridge Co., KY to the late  Robert Courtney and the late Sarah Daughtery Courtney.  She was the wife of the late Ernest Johnson.  She was a retired seamstress for Phar Shar and Kane's Manufacturing Co. and a waitress for  Alexander Hotel in Leitchfield.  She was a member of  South Union General Baptist Church.

She is survived by four sons, Allen Allgood (Donna) of Owensboro, David Allgood (Melissa) of LaGrange, KY, Joe C. Tatum (Donna) of Louisville, KY and Rex Johnson (Sheila) of Leitchfield, KY; two step sons, Bro. Ernest Johnson (Elva) of Sunfish, KY and Jimmie Johnson (Edwinia) of Louisville, KY; two step daughters, Mary Alice Kaufman (Jim) of  Indianapolis, In and Fongie LeGawiec of Leitchfield, KY; one sister, Alta Townsend of Nebraska; one brother, Raymond (Bud) Courtney of Owensboro, KY; two special friends of the family, Eric and Matthew Woosley of Shrewsbury, KY; several grandchildren, great grandchilren, nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by a son, Jesse Allgood; a step daughter, Anna Smith; a sister, Nelly Lee Carmen and a grandson, David Lee Allgood, Jr.
