1961-2023

Paul Stake, age 61, of Glasgow, passed away on Tuesday, January 31, 2023 at the Hospice House of Southern Kentucky. The Glen Ridge, NJ native was born on May 10, 1961 to Ann Guffey Black and the late Gordon Stake, Sr.

Paul graduated from Wall High School in Wall Township, NJ and moved to Glasgow in 1986. Paul was often described as one of the funniest people you'd ever know. He had a love for sports, was a huge fan of Kentucky Wildcats and always loved watching “the game”. He enjoyed food and eating out  and would finish anything you “weren't going to eat”.  Paul’s sense of humor would light up a room and he made friends everywhere he went.

Paul is survived by his wife, Vonda Crews of Glasgow; parents, Ann and Fred Black of Drakes Branch, VA; brothers, Gordon Stake, Jr. (Patti) and Fred Black; sisters, Liz Quinlan (Mark), Michele Hall (James), Diana Shay (Patrick) and Linda Black; many nieces, nephews and good friends. Besides his father, he was also preceded in death by his step mother, Carol Stake.

Interment will be in Rocky Hill Cemetery.
