Patty Cooney Poynter

Patty Cooney Poynter, age 70 of Park City, departed this life  on Tuesday, May 14, 2024 at T.J. Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow. The Beech Grove, Indiana native was born on February 3, 1954 to the late Raymond and Hazel Cooney. She was married to Danny Poynter, who survives.  

Patty graduated from Our Lady of Grace Academy Schools. She worked throughout her life as a banker for INB, registration clerk for Indianapolis Methodist Hospital and a medical secretary for Dr. Steven James. 

Besides her husband, Danny, she leaves to honor her memory-- her son, Kelly Ray Poynter  (Jana) of Munfordville; grandchildren, Noah Poynter, Jake Poynter and Raylee Poynter; brother, Mike Cooney (Carol), special friends, Rodney and Tammy Good  and Deric and Connie Childress, along with several brothers and sisters-in-law, nephews and nieces. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Raymond Cooney.   

Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
