Patty Parson

Patty Parson, age 81 of Smiths Grove, departed this life on Wednesday, March 13, 2024 at her residence.  The Edmonson County native was born on August 30, 1942 to the late Elbert and Avril Crump Madison.  She was married to her devoted husband, Mearl Dean Parson, until they were parted by his death on September 21, 2005.

Patty had a servant’s heart, and worked for years as a caregiver and housekeeper.  She was a member of Fairview Baptist Church.

She leaves to honor her memory— her children, Alisa Gott (Bobby) of Bowling Green, Janie Scott (Billy) of Smiths Grove and Timothy Parson of Smiths Grove; grandchildren, Chrissy Hymer (Kevin), Kevin Miller (Amy), Amy Meeks (Casey), Lindsey Wojtkielewicz (David), Drew Parson, Michael Parson (Rachael), Matthew Higgs and Jacob Parson; thirteen great-grandchildren, along with her siblings, Harold Madison, Elberta Williams and Edward Madison (Joyce).  She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Pam Miller.  

Interment will be in Rocky Hill Cemetery.
