1933 - 2022

Norma Jean Bewley, age 88 of Smiths Grove, departed this life on Thursday, June 23, 2022. The Edmonson County native was born on December 29, 1933 to the late William Dewey and Alma Butram Hatler. She was married to James “Tinker” Bewley, who survives.

She was a retired school teacher and taught for 50 years at the Edmonson County school system. She was a member of  Cedar Springs United Baptist Church.

Besides her husband she leaves to honor her memory— brother, Buford Hatler of Bowling Green; three grandchildren, Samantha Webb (Justin), Colby Smith (Gabby), and Aaron Bewley; two great-grandchildren, Michael Maverick Webb and Luke Olen Webb; one great-nephew, Cody Hatler; and two special daughters-in-law, Patty Powers and Cindy Bewley.  She was preceded in death by her son, Michael J. Bewley.
