Nelson F. Wells, 91, of Chalybeate, KY, departed this life on October 23, 2016 at Greenwood Nursing Home and Rehab in Bowling Green, KY. The Edmonson County native was born March  4, 1925 to late Abraham Lincoln Wells and Mary Elizabeth Roundtree Wells. He was married to the late Hattie Mae Hennion Wells.

Nelson worked as a production manager for MEDUSA Rock Quarry. He was a member of Beaver Dam Chapel United Baptist Church.

He leaves to honor his memory, one son, Rex Wells (Veronica) of Chalybeate, KY; two daughters Fran Wells of Chalybeate, KY, Diane Lawson (Nick) of Chalybeate, KY; six grandchild, Cynthia Luttrell, Jonathan Lawson (Lacie), Ross Wells (Megan), Nathan Wells, Holly Beth Hayes (Bret); six great grandchildren, Katie Carroll, Kayla Lee, Eric Luttrell, Ashley Brooke Wells, Allison Paige Wells, Jase Lawson and one great grandson, Gunner Lee. He was also preceded in death by two grandsons, Christopher Lawson and Alex Wells.

Interment will be in  Renfro Cemetery.
