Nannie Farris Sanders, age 91 of Louisville, passed away on Wednesday, November 30, 2011 in Louisville.
The Edmonson County native was born January 24, 1920 to the late Andy Farris and the late Nellie Whobrey Farris and was married to the late Elmer Sanders. She was a retired machine operator for Vermont America.
She is survived by one son, Elmer Wesley Sanders, Jr. (Shirley) of Louisville, KY; seven grandchildren, Ellen Decker of Leitchfield, KY; Debra Whittle (Danny) of Park City, KY; Jerry Rich (Pam) of Hillview, KY; Sherry Spears (Ricky) of Fairdale, KY; Buddy Sanders of Louisville, KY; Joni Reichert (Jamie) of Orlando, FL and Corky Sanders (Michelle) of Clarkson, KY; Twelve great grandchildren; several great great grandchildren and two sisters, Betty Shuman of Brownsville, KY and Lucy Wolverton of Georgia.
She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Wilda Rich; one grandson, Robert Rich and one great grandson, Christopher Decker.
Funeral service will be officiated by Bro. Jerry Patton with burial in the Sweeden Cemetery.
