Mike Tarter

Mike Tarter, age 66 of Bowling Green, departed this life on Sunday, December 8, 2024 at Greenwood Nursing and Rehab in Bowling Green. The Heidelberg, Germany native was born on May 21, 1958 to the late Bobby Lee Tarter and Maxine Roof Walters. 

Mike dedicated over twenty-three years of his life to working in shipping and receiving at Sears, a commitment that reflects his strong work ethic. He found joy in collecting John Deere tractors, a hobby that brought him happiness and a sense of pride. Additionally, his love for dogs and cats showed his caring nature, as he cherished the companionship they provided. He also enjoyed the connections he made through ham radio conversations, which allowed him to share experiences with others. 

He was survived by his companion, Sue Carter of Bowling Green; a daughter, Brittany Tarter; grandchildren, Marie Philpot and Michael Philpot, along with several cousins. He was also preceded in death by his uncles Glendon Ray and James Tarter.
