Michael Ray Meredith

Michael Ray Meredith, age 78 of Bee Spring, went to his prayer place in the barn, and the Lord called him home on Wednesday, September 11, 2024. The Edmonson County native was born on November 20, 1945 to the late Edna Mae Meredith Goff and Hoy Johnson. He was married to his best friend, soul mate and loving wife of sixty years, Joyce Davis Meredith, who survives.

Michael retired as a superintendent from Ikon Construction. He was a faithful member of Sunny Point General Baptist Church. In years passed he taught Sunday School, was the Sunday School superintendent and the church treasurer. He was also a member of Washington Meredith Masonic Lodge #355 F&AM. Of all his roles, he was most proud of his family, children and grandchildren. 

Besides his wife, Joyce, he leaves to honor his memory— his children, Michael Shane Meredith (Michelle) of Bee Spring and Dena Pettit (Reggie) of Leitchfield; grandchildren, Lance Michael Meredith (Kelly), McKenzie Duvall-Hill (Brandon), Madison Duvall, Chloe Pettit, Maddie Pettit and Summer Chaney; siblings, Bro. R.L. Meredith, Vickie Marlow, Terry Meredith and Yolanda Vincent (James); sister-in-law, Donna Meredith, along with several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Timmie Meredith.

Interment will be in Sunny Point Church Cemetery.
