Melvin Mccombs

He unselfishly served our country in World War II and was a United States Navy Veteran.  He retired as a Self-Employed Mason and was a member of Cedar Hill United Baptist Church, American Legion Post #200 and Brick Layers Union.

He is survived by two daughters, Jean Crawford (Russell) of Depauw, IN and Jane Davis (John) of Madison, IN; two brothers, Gilbert "Doc" McCombs (Patty) of LaGrange, KY and George "Dizzy" McCombs (Janice) of Munfordville, KY; three sisters, Zula Tatman of London, OH; Marie Driskell of Louisville, KY and Barbara Key of Glendale, KY; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by one son, Larry McCombs; three brothers, Van, Ed and June McCombs and one sister, Ola Mae McCombs.

The funeral service will be officiated by Bro. John Davis.   Military graveside services will be conducted by the Nesbit Alexander Memorial Post #6937 Veterans of Foreign War at Fairview United Baptist Church Cemetery, Brownsville, KY.
