Melissa Mae Sargent

Melissa Mae Sargent, age 38 of Charleston, SC, departed this life on Thursday, July 25, 2024 in Smiths Grove, KY. The Roseville, California native was born on May 6, 1986 to Randy and Nancy Hatcher Sargent. 

Melissa was a friend to many, and loved being outdoors. She enjoyed spending time singing karaoke, traveling, preparing for marathons or whatever life's next adventure would bring her. She was a caring person, whose generosity touched many lives. Her absence will be profoundly felt by all who knew her.

Besides her parents, Randy and Nancy, she leaves to honor her memory-- her niece, Meagan Chandler; nephews, Dallas Chandler and Wesley Ever; fur babies, Bleu and Char, along with several extended family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Greg and Betty Sargent, Jerry and Mable Hatcher and Rose Curtis.
