1941 - 2022

Mary Ann Emerson, age 80, of Smiths Grove, passed away on Friday, February 4, 2022 at Barren County Nursing and Rehab. The Barren County native was born on August 22, 1941 to the late Willard J. Jones and Clois Morene Moore Morgan. She was married to Willie Henry Emerson, who survives.

Mary Ann was a lunch room manager for Park City Elementary and was a member of New Beginnings Church.

Besides her husband, she leaves to honor her memory— two sons, Henry Douglas Emerson (Jean Ann) and Willard Joe Emerson (Tina) of Smiths Grove; four grandchildren, Chris Emerson (Autumn), Dustin Emerson, Ashley Oliver (Tim) and Amanda Thomas (Curtis); eight great-grandchildren; three step great-grandchildren; one brother, Jimmy Lee Morgan and one sister, JoAnna Nuckols (Steve).

Interment will be in Merry Oaks Cemetery.
