Margie J. Friend, age 92 of Glasgow, KY, passed away Thursday, December 22, 2016 in Glasgow. The  Louisville, KY native was born May 20, 1924 to the late Clarence and Viola Gardner Friend.

She was a retired social worker for the Commonwealth of Kentucky and of the  Baptist faith.

She leaves to honor her memory, four nieces, Patricia Friend Brown (Billy) of Glasgow, Sharon Friend Frey (Kurt) of Glasgow, Julie Ross Scoskie of Louisville, Lisa Ross Collopy (John) of Louisville; three nephews, Robert Marion Friend (Barbara) of Campbellsville, Jerry Gardner Friend (Carlotta) of Park City and Mackie Ross (Vickie) of Louisville, several great nieces and nephews and many beloved friends.

She was also preceded in death by one brother, Marion Gardner Friend and two sisters, Erseldean Friend Ross and Lela Friend Vance.

Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
