Mamie Brooks

Mamie "Jackie" Kersey Brooks, age 82 of Louisville, passed away Friday, February 1, 2008 in Louisville. She was born March 26, 1926 in Cave City to the late Grover and Tandy Sanders Kersey. She was retired from Sears and Roebuck Co. and a member of the Eastern Star and United Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband, Chalres S. Brooks; two sons, Charles E. Goode (Sharman) and Rick Brooks (Nancy); three daughters, Charlotte Ruth (David), Kay Webb (Steve) and Patricica Smith (Mark); one sister, Mary Gibson; nine grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Services will be officiated by Bro. Winston Cosby with burial in the Ollie Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to Kosair Charities.
