Loretta Doyle Brooks, age 78 of Glasgow, KY, passed away Sunday, August 21, 2016 in Glasgow. The Edmonson County native was born on October 19, 1937 to the late Yancy Clay Doyle and Alma Nell Martin. She was married to the late Martin Thomas “Tommie” Brooks.

She was a seamstress for Turner Industries and was a member of Cedar Hill United Baptist Church.

She leaves to honor her memory one son, Cary Brooks (Kaye) of Chalybeate, KY; four daughters, Alicia Reid (Joe) of Glasgow, KY, Ilene Elmore (Terry) of Chalybeate, KY, Lolita Carroll (Foran) of Glasgow, KY, Lanell Word (Tommy) of Summer Shade, KY; three brothers, Melvin Doyle (Louise) of Cedar Springs, KY, J.B. Doyle (Wanda) of Park City, KY, Gerry Doyle (Rometta) of Lindseyville, KY; twelve grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Michelle Young and one grandson, Timothy Young.

Interment will be in Lambert Cemetery.
