Leone Gipson

Leone C. Gipson, age 89 of Chalybeate, passed away Thursday, January 8, 2009 in Bowling Green. She was born May 24, 1919 in Edmonson County to the late Bro. Gordon and Marie Lindsey Campbell and married to the late Vergil W. Gipson. She was a Baptist,a housewife and is survived by one daughter, Bonnie Jo Anderson of Chalybeate; one grandson, Ricky L. Carroll (Lisa) of Brownsville; two great grandchildren, Chad and Lauren Carroll of Brownsville; two brothers, Ray Campbell (Mary) and Rev. Billy Campbell (Pam) of Louisville; one sister, Ruth Whittle of Louisville and one sister-in-law Nettie Campbell of Louisville. She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Lindsey Robert, Howell and Ben Campbell and two sisters, Georgia Paxton and Eva Sampson. Services will be officiated by Bro. Jerry Patton with burial in the Hawkins Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to Hawkins Cemetery C/O James Jones 500 Mammoth Cave Rd. Brownsville, KY 42210.
