Leona Doyel

Leona Frances Doyel, 93 of Brownsville passed away Thursday, June 24, 2010 in Bowling Green. The Edmonson County native was born March 26, 1917 to the late Charlie Emberson and Ellen France Emberson. She was the wife of the late Rev. Willie F. Doyel. She was a homemaker, member of Heritage Homemakers, Red Hat Society, Orientation Committee at Edmonson Health Care Center, a member of the BRADD board and a member of Fairview United Baptist Church.

She is survived by a son: Donald Doyel (Sandra) of Bon Ayr, KY; two daughters: Georgia Powell (Dorris) of Bowling Green, KY, Regina Parsley-Byrd (Ken) of Chalybeate, KY; five grandchildren: Donna Hennion (Mark), Danita Elmore (Marty), Greg Powell (Karen), Brian Parsley (Heather), Tyra Ballance (Bill); eight great grandchildren: Lauren & Leah Ballance, Caroline and Coleton Parsley, Kyle Hennion, Kristin McGrew, Shana McCrady, Sarah Saling; four great great grandchildren: Kaden Hennion, Xander & Paxton McCrady, Carson Saling
