Lenard Ray, 74, departed this life on  Friday, March  27, 2015 in Louisville, KY.  The Edmonson County native was born on April 11, 1940 to the late Willard and Bernice Tarter Ray and was married to Linda Tarter Ray, who survives.

He was a  farmer and a member of  Beaver Dam Chapel United  Baptist Church.

Besides his wife, he is survived by one son, Eugene Ray (Myra) of Smiths Grove; two daughters, Elizabeth Turley (Clayton) of Chalybeate and Leanne Richards (Bryan) of Smiths Grove; six grandchildren, Weston Turley (Jessica), Kristen Vincent (Nathan), Ethan Ray, Aaron Ray, Lauren Richards and Luke Richards; five great grandchildren, Evan Turley, Collin Turley, Annalee Vincent, Claire Vincent and Evie Vincent; one sister, Grace Hogan (Jerry) of Brownsville and one special son, Lloyd Tarter (Teresa) of Clarksville, IN.  He was preceded in death by one sister, Yvonne Davis.

Interment will be in  Kinslow Cemetery with Bro. Jerry Patton  officiating.
