Leila Adwell

1926-2021

Leila Adwell, age 95, of Horse Cave, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 29, 2021 at the Bowling Green Medical Center surrounded by her family. The Hart County native was born on November 28, 1926 to the late Claude and Genia May Dennison. She was married to the late George Anthony Adwell.

Leila loved the Lord and taught Sunday school at Little Hope Missionary Baptist Church for several years. Along with being a devout Christian, she was a devoted mother and grandmother.

Leila is survived by her children Becky Gregory (Dwaine) of Indiana and Johnny Adwell of Horse Cave; granddaughters, Dana Chapman (Mark) and Samantha Gregory; great-grandchildren, Hunter, Andrew, Aubriana and Acer; sister, Ruenell Konsler and sister-in-law, Eddie Bell Dennison. Besides her parents and husband she was preceded in death by her brothers, Cortland and Eldon Dennison and sister, Avanell Briggs.

Interment will be in Cave City Cemetery.

Memorial contributions can be made to Little Hope Missionary Baptist Church.
