Kathleen B. Basham, 91, of Brownsville, KY, departed this life on November 17, 2016 at Genesis Healthcare in Brownsville, KY. The Edmonson County native was born June 29, 1925 to the late Hubert and Chlorene Sowders Bullock. She was married to the late Bernard Basham, Sr.

Kathleen was a retired teacher for Edmonson County Schools. She was a member of Kentucky Retired Teachers Association and was also a member of Sweeden Missionary

Baptist Church.

She leaves to honor her memory, two sons, Bernard “Bobby” Basham, Jr. (Freda) of Chalybeate, KY, Jeff Basham (Mayra) of Florida; two granddaughters, LeeAnn Elmore (Anthony) of Chalybeate, KY, and Sara McCaslin (James) of Bowling Green, KY; and two great grandchildren, Ben Elmore and Beth Elmore.

Memorial contributions may be made to the  Sweeden Cemetery Fund.

Interment will be in Sweeden Church Cemetery
