Joyce P. Wingfield, age 75 of Chalybeate, passed away Tuesday June 8, 2010 in Bowling Green.
She was born January 3, 1935 in Barren County to the late Rev. Solomon Kelly Pierce and Dollie Mae Pierce and married to the late James E. Wingfield.
Joyce was a retired assembly line worker at Holley Carb., former cook at the Little Dipper, a housewife and mother.
She was a member of Chalybeate Homemakers and Chalybeate United Baptist Church.
She is survived by four daughters, Regina Kay Stewart (Kenny) of Brownsville, Janis Simon (Ricky) of Brownsville, Donna Goins (Danny) and Sherry Vincent (Hank) of Chalybeate; three brothers, Ecel Pierce of Brownsville, James Pierce (Carol) of Glasgow and J.D. Pierce (Sheryl) of Brownsville; two sisters, Janice Morgan and Evon Priddy of Chalybeate; ten grandchildren, Jonathon Simon (Jerika), Doniel Woodcock (Ronnie "Bud"), Eddie Simon (Emily), Kris Stewart, Dawnita Cook (Timmy), Anthony Simon (Bridget), Kelli Stewart, Stephen Vincent, Heather Vincent and Caleb Vincent; nine great grandchildren, Elizabeth and Nathaniel Woodcock, Bladen and Daylen Cook, Iszic Blankenship, Cailtlin, Luke, Noah and Brookelyn Simon. She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Grover, Bill and Buck Pierce and a sister, Lanada Pierce.
Services will be officiated by Bro. Steve Gipson and Bro. Howard Decker with burial in the Kinser Cemetery.
