Johnny Sowders

Johnny "Big John" Sowders, 68, of Roundhill, KY, died Friday, April 1, 2011 in Bowling Green, KY. He was born March 7, 1943 to the late James L. Sowders and the late Mary E. Forbes Sowders. He was the husband of the late Nancy Sowders. He was a retired Truck Driver and a member of Chalybeate United Baptist Church. He is survived by three sons, Roy Sowders (Keatina) of Bowling Green, KY, Wayne Sowders of Huff, KY and Chris "Bubby" Sowders (Kim) of Leitchfield, KY; one step son, Rick Long of Indianapolis, IN; two daughters, Judy Sowders and Niki Sowders both of Bowling Green, KY; one step daughter, Susie Marsh of Indianapolis, IN; one brother, Tommy Sowders of Roundhill, KY; one sister, Joann Woosley of Caneyville, KY; companion, Gail Browning of Roundhill, KY; helped to raise, Shelbyann England and Shawn England both of Roundhill, KY; 19 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren and preceded in death by a son, Johnny Lee Sowders; three brothers, Tilman Sowders, Alva Sowders and Hayward Sowders, and five sisters, Verbie Hampton, Eula Gainey, Justine Johnson, Verta Miller and Velma Probus. Burial will bein the Therekel Cemetery with Bro. Lhebanon Huff officiating.
