John Johnson

John Henry Johnson, age 77, of Sweeden, passed away Tuesday, January 8, 2008 in Brownsville. He was born January 25, 1930 in Edmonson County to the late Estill A. and Fern Blanton Johnson. He was a retired truck driver for Teamsters Local # 89 and is survived by his wife Peggy Clotene Johnson of Sweeden; four sons, Michael Johnson (Jackie) of Smiths Grove, Elbert Johnson (Mollie) of Sweeden, Delbert Johnson (Kim) of Roundhill and Tony Johnson (Sheila) of Roundhill; one daughter, Margaret Houchin (David) of Lexington; three brothers, Jack Johnson (Karen) of Mt. Washington, Ray Johnson of Louisville and Carlos Johnson (Sandy) of Brownsville; two sisters, June Basham of Louisville and Janice Sharpe of Sarasota, Fl.; seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by one daughter, Patricia Ann Johnson; one brother, Carl Johnson and one sister, Lou Ella Johnson. Services will be officiated by Bro. Essie Hayes with burial in the Sweeden Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to Edmonson Health Care Main Street Brownsville, KY 42210.
