1928 ~ 2017

Jessie Edna Prunty, age 88, of Sweeden, KY departed this life on  Saturday, April 8, 2017  in Brownsville, KY.  The Edmonson County native was born December 11, 1928 to the late  Cecil and Helen Warnell Alexander and was the wife of  the late Haskell W. Prunty.

Jessie was a manager of women’s clothing stores and a member of  Bee Spring  Missionary Baptist Church.  She was a former member of Green River Eastern Star .

She leaves to honor her memory one son, Steve Prunty (Tina) of Bowling Green; three daughters, Jacqueline Douglas (Mac) of Bowling Green, Phyllis Parsley (Steve) of Brownsville and

Susie Skaggs (Eric) of Chalybeate; three brothers, Billy Alexander (Shirley), Charles Alexander (Joretta) and Victor Alexander (Joyce) and one sister, Jean Davis (Winston); nine grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.  She was  also preceded in death by two grandsons, Chris and Scott Parsley and several brothers and sisters.

Interment will be in Alexander Cemetery.
