Jesse L. Dailey, age 91 of Wingfield, passed away Wednesday October 14, 2009 in Bowlin Green. He was born December 13, 1917 in Warsaw, KY to the late Thomas and Maude Ellen Hendricks Dailey. He was former pastor and founder of Sardinia Baptist Church, a World War II Navy Veteran and a member of Brownsville Missionary Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife Octava Dailey of Wingfield; two sons, Michael Dailey (Ginger) of Belton, TX and Robert Dailey (Beth) of Fredricksburg, VA; three daughters, Jeannie Schurrman (Tunis) of Texas, Dona Young (Robert) of Rochester, MN and Becky Ray of Texas; two brothers Gilbert Dailey of Sardinia, OH and Tommy Dailey of Greenville, OH; two sisters, Christine Stats of New Carlisle, OH and Anna Parks of Medway, OH; eighteen grandchildren and three great grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by a stepson, William Brian Hammonds and a stepdaughter, Barbara Dykstra. Services will be officicated by Bro. Calvin Bond and Bro. Michael Dailey with graveside military rites by Nisbet Alexander Memorial Post # 6937 VFW.
