Jennie Mae Wilson

Jennie Mae Wilson, age 94, of Cave City, departed this life on Friday, December 29, 2023 at Signature Healthcare of Hart County.  The Barren County native was born on August 24, 1929 to the late Leonard and Pearlie Smith. She was married to the late Walter E. Wilson.  

Jennie was a member of Basil Chapel United Baptist Church, and retired from Handmacher Manufacturing, where she worked as a seamstress.  

She leaves to honor her memory— daughter, Donita Reed (Mitchell) of Park City; grandchildren, Christy Peay (Derek) of Bowling Green and Ashley Borders (Ben) of Park City; step-grandson, John Reed (Laura Leigh) of Park City; great grandchildren, Sydney Elrod (Bailey), Shelby Trent, Lily Borders and Trandall Borders; step great-grandchildren, Addisen and Cooper Reed; sisters, Doris Ward and Shirley Doyle. Besides her parents and husband she was preceded in death by her brothers, Orville, Raymond, J.B. and Buford Smith; sisters, Olene Coomer and Delcie Britt.    

Interment will be in Cave City Cemetery.
