Jean Ford

Jean Ford, age 75 of Brownsville, departed this life peacefully on Friday, January 3, 2025 at the Hospice House of Southern Kentucky in Bowling Green. The Fisk, Missouri native was born on January 6, 1949 to the late James Edward and Ruby Katherine Morgan Haislip. She was married to her devoted husband, Willard Ford, who also preceded her in death. 

Jean devoted herself to caring for her family as a homemaker, ensuring their needs were met with love and attention. In her spare time, she found joy in tending to her yard work, and transforming her home with a creative touch as a talented decorator. She was a cherished member of the Brownsville Missionary Baptist Church, where she found comfort and peace.

She leaves to honor her memory— her children, Paul Ford (Betsy) of Bowling Green and Beth Guess (Randy) of Lindseyville; grandchildren, Jeana Bratcher (James), Rachel Ford and Jackson Ford; her special friend and companion, Sheldon Tomes, along with several great-grandchildren. Besides her husband and parents, she was also predeceased by her grandsons, Joshua and Andrew Basham; a great-grandson, Mason Basham and her brothers, Jim, Robert and Gordie Haislip.

Interment will be in Midway Church Cemetery.
