Jay Lewis

Jay Lewis, 85, of Uno, KY, passed away Wednesday, July 30, 2014 at his residence.  He was born March 31, 1929 in Youngstown, OH to the late Harry D. Lewis and the late Genieve Townswend Lewis and was the husband of  Violet Hogan Lewis.

He was a retired master sergeant in the US Air Force having served during the Korean and Vietnam War, and had worked for the Belton School District.  He was  amember of Hiseville Masonic Lodge # 787 F&AM and a shriner with Aloha Temple in Honolulu, Hawaii.  He was a  member of the Cavfe City Lions Club, a Kentucky Colonel and a Methodist.

He is survived by his wife, Violet Hogan Lewis of Uno, KY; four sons, bob Lewis (Ruby) of Gulf Breeze, FL, Larry Lewis of Carrollton, GA, David Jay Lewis (Vicky) of Fountain Run, KY and John Lewis (Leslie) of Cave City, KY; one sister, Joan Pasquale (Dick) of michigan; thirteen grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

Masonic services will be conducted by the Hiseville Masonic Lodge # 787 F&AM,  7:00pm, Saturday, August 2, 2014 at the Patton Funeral Home Park City Chapel .  Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery with Bro. Darrell Hensley officiating and  military honors by the Barren County D.A.V.
