James Sparks

James F. Sparks, age 78 of Brownsville, passed away Tuesday July 27, 2010 in Bowling Green. He was born August 12, 1931 in Carter County, KY to the late Sherman and Edith Waugh Sparks.

He was a retired Engine (Trouble Shooter) for Ford Motor Co., Air Force/Air National Guard Veteran, member of the Baptist Faith, Valley Masonic Lodge # 511 F&AM, Kosair Shriner and a Drill Master for Jefferson County Fire Program.

He is survived by his wife Luella Skaggs Sparks of Brownsville; son, Terry Sparks of Brownsville; daughter, Karen Frank (Don) of Southern Pines, NC; nine grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by a son, Randell "Tiny" Sparks.

Funeral service will be officiated by Bro. Jerry Patton with military honors at Hogan Cemetery. Masonic service will be 7:00 pm Friday at the funeral home.
