James Lewis Newton, age 47 of Brownsville, passed away Saturday, October 17, 2009 at his residence with his family by his side. He was born June 2, 1962 in Quantico, VA to the late George M. Newton and Caroline Pillion Sivells, who survives. He was a production engineer for Seigal Roberts and member of Cedar Bluff Baptist Church in Princeton. He is survived by his wife, Sherry Newton of Brownsville;four daughters, Kimberly Duty (Jeremy), Stephanie Newton (fiance' Billy Miller) and Jennifer Carroll (Nicholas) all of Brownsville and Kayte Hobbs of Princeton, KY; mother, Caroline Sivells (Tommy) of Cadiz; two sisters, Darlene Beasley (Dane) of Princeton and Christina Richardson (Jeff) of Nortonville; nine grandchildren, Jordan Carroll, Christopher Duty, Taylor Ruple, Kaitlyn Ruple Newton, Brandon Carroll, James Ethan Duty, Baylee Carroll and Logan Ruple; several nieces and nephews and his beloved dog, Sassy. He was also preceded in death by his grandparents, George and Lillian Newton, Jay Pillion and Mary Lucas. Service will be officiated by Bro.Richard Oldham with burial in the Fairview Church Cemetery.
